The Community Princess Foundation began in 2015 to support the hundreds of small community groups who make up a large part of the Wagga Wagga Community. Funds for the foundation are supplied by Quest Entrants every year as part of their fundraising efforts.
Community Princess Megan Short awarded the first community grant to Wagga Wagga Toy Library in 2016. Grant applications are now open and available here. Thank you to Active Print Signarama Wagga Wagga for designing the Community Princess Foundation logo and providing the cheque. |

Community Princess, Jess Barclay, presented Lilier Lodge a cheque for $300.
Lilier Lodge is a non for profit 21 room organisation, who provide accommodation for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. They aim to provide a home away from home, and a safe haven for their guests offering comfort, serenity and support.

Community Princess, Haylee Burkinshaw, presented Luke from the Lake Albert Softball team to represent the ACT.
Turvey Park Girl Guides $500
I had the opportunity to meet the enthusiastic Turvey Park Girl Guides to present them with a Community Princess Grant to help them fund new lighting for their camping trips.

The Vilomah Community Group is an organization that offers a crucial service that helps parents navigate their grief and create lasting memories with their children who were taken away too soon. I was honored to grant The Vilomah Community Group to assist in their efforts to provide counselling, care packs, funeral expenses, gifts, and support for families during special dates throughout the year.

I had the honour of meeting with the Wagga City Rugby Male Choir to present them with a grant from the Community Princess Foundation.

Today I had the honour of granting $500 to the Wagga Wagga Veteran and Vintage Car Motor Club to support them with their June Rally!
The Wagga Wagga Veteran and Vintage Car Motor Club put so much time, money and effort into their cars purely because of the amount of joy that it brings others and I can not thank them enough for the generosity and support they have given myself and the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest for many years.
Sarah Lloyd Scholarship Fund $500
Today I had the honour to present my very first Community Princess Foundation grant to the well deserving Sarah Lloyd Scholarship Fund.
The Sarah Lloyd Scholarship Fund helps young ladies in male dominated industries get a fair start by funding tools, mentorship, licences and tickets. This grant is assisting a worthy recipient, Kayla Horne from Riverina Motor Group. Kayla is an apprentice mechanic and loves how every day is a new challenge. With this grant she will be able to purchase new tools to advance further in her career.

Brittany Hackett - Community Princess 2020
The Leisure Company $500
The Leisure Company provides social support and community access to people with disabilities in the Wagga Wagga area. Their application to the Community Princess Fund was for assistance to purchase 'giant games' for the enjoyment of all participants.
Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Maternity Ward $500
Mothers in the Maternity Ward of Wagga Wagga Base Hospital now have access to individual fridges throughout their stay, thanks to the generosity of our Community Princess Brittany Hackett.
Country Hope $500
Country Hope applied for a Community Princess Foundation grant to purchase gift hampers for fathers whose children use the service, to share with their Dads on Father's Day.
This was an idea close to Brittany's heart and she was very excited to be able to present a cheque for $500 for this very worthwhile initiative.
Ronald McDonald House $500
Community Princess Brittany Hackett presented her first Community Princess Foundation grant to Lisa Simpson, Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga.
This was the first time the newly designed cheque was used. Many thanks Active Print Signarama for designing the cheque!
These funds will be used to provide meals for families staying at the House.

Today I attended the Turvey Park Girl Guides and presented a cheque on behalf of the Community Princess Foundation. 👑 💰 💐
The money will go towards a variety of things over the coming months as the girls begin preparation for Christmas gifts and cards for the community, events such as their trivia night and potential for the money to expand and assist with next years' camp.
The girls were full of energy and motivation and were extremely welcoming! I had such a wonderful evening with them, while they played a “frog and Princess” game and sat and asked lots of questions about my role in the community and of course the crown I get to wear!

Today, Community Princess 2019, Presslea Cowan presented her first Community Princess Foundation cheque to Goodstart Estella who will be using the funds to build their own fruit and veggie garden that will be available to the families of Estella!

Today I had the pleasure of handing out a grant from the Community Princess Foundation! 👸🏼
I visited our local Edel Quinn shelter, where Nathalie and Bonnie showed me around. Personally, I wasn’t aware how much they actually provide! Accommodation, meals, clothing - just to name a few. 🏡 👕👖
The grant is going to help provide a special lunch for the community for a NAIDOC Day.
Wagga Women's Health Centre $200
I met with Gail and Jackie, who were lovely enough to give me a tour of the Centre and LOTS of information on this wonderful service, which is completely free and any woman can access! How incredible is that?🏡
The grant will be used to install a doorbell to the back door, enhancing the security of the building for anyone who accesses the service.
Kooringal High School $200
Today, Community Princess 2018 Maddie Smith and Community Princess 2019 Presslea Cowan were able to hand out another grant from the Community Princess Foundation.
This one was given to Liz Hall and the students of classes IO and MC from Kooringal High School. The grant will be used to purchase outdoor furniture and finish off the newly designed Chill-out Space at the school. 🌲💐📚

On Saturday morning I was lucky enough to witness some absolutely amazing ten pin bowling from some of Wagga's finest bowlers and present them with their grant which will be used for bowling towels and water bottles for the participants.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of attending a kids disco at the RANCH (RAAF, Army, Navy Community House) to present the latest Community Princess Foundation Grant. It was great to learn about the support the group provides to the families of the defence members in Wagga. I was also lucky enough to see some great dance moves from the kids and hand out a few prizes! The grant will be used to purchase new high chairs for the children who attend the group.

Today I had the pleasure of handing out another grant from the Community Princess Fund - this time to Kooringal Public School! The kids are going to be using the money for their garden project. Look forward to seeing how it turns out! Thanks to Ms Fox, Jameson, Charlie, Ruby & Eve for the morning.

This grant went to Virtue Ministry, and will be used to pay for fuel to get members to schools around the region to do talks about what they do! Jes & Maddie were able to meet with Stina from Virtue Ministry to hand over the grant.

The funds will be used to purchase plants for a greenhouse built by the students. The students have been trying to raise funds to purchase the plants but due the small number of students they have struggled to raise sufficient funds. The CPF was delighted to assist the students with their endeavours.
