After a couple of hectic months we have finally settled in and continued to visit our beneficiaries and attend meetings and interviews. The entrants have been sitting down each week and knuckling out the finer details of our first event that is close around the corner.

We started June with our first meat raffle at the Union on the first Friday night and have continued to run the raffles every Friday this month. The raffles have been a great success and the girls have enjoyed seeing the regular faces of the community each week competing for the best meat tray of the night.

Each week an article delves into one of the entrant’s life, talking about our reasons for joining the quest, passions, and inspirations and why we love our home, Wagga. It’s a great way to get to know each entrant a little bit better and what a brilliant way to start your morning with a cup of coffee and a good newspaper article to read.
Stina, Clare, Chelsea and Ebony paid a visit to the Leisure Company where they attending a cooking class and spoke with the class about some of the great activities they get to be involved in at the Leisure Company such as singing and dancing, art, sport, work experience and social outings. It has been fantastic to be able to pop into our beneficiaries to see what support they are providing our community.
Ebony, Stina and Clare attended the Lost Lanes Festival to help with surveying the patrons who attended on the cold evening, despite the weather the event was a highly successful!
Clare, Chelsea and Bonnie were interviewed by Wagga TV; keep an eye out for the airing of each entrant in the coming weeks. Stina, Ebony, Taylor and Presslea will be interviewed in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled.
Chelsea, Clare and Stina made their debut appearances on Hit FM, entertaining the listeners of Wagga Wagga. Don’t forget to tune in in the coming weeks for Ebony, Presslea, Taylor and Bonnie’s interviews! Who doesn’t want a fun car trip on the way to work listening to us girls have a chat on air.
Our month concluded with Stina and Bonnie attending the Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust Ball as ushers on the evening. A beautiful way to wrap up the month of June, dressed up to meet more of our community.
We have been working so hard to get ready for our first event, as slightly time consuming it may seem as we are doing something every week, we are all enjoying the journey thus far. We have loved every second of meeting local faces amongst the community and cannot wait to see many of you at our first event.
