Hi, my name is Samantha (most people know me as Sam or Sammi) and I am proud to call Wagga Wagga my hometown. 
I’ve recently become a full-time business owner, running my own digital media and design business, as well as a fun side hustle selling my handmade polymer clay earrings. When I’m not working on my businesses, you’ll likely find me doing something creative or spending time with my family, friends and rescue dog, Jasper. Some of my hobbies include aerial silks, playing piano, reading, writing and travelling.

AKW are sponsoring my journey in the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest and I am so grateful for their support. If you’re not familiar with AKW, they are a well-established accounting firm who have been providing finance and wealth services throughout the Riverina for 90 years.

I have been thinking about participating in the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest for a few years now and am so glad to be one of the 2027 Entrants. I loved the idea of getting to know more of the Wagga Wagga community, help raise money for local charities, learn new skills and build new friendships. So far, during my 20s, I have realised that some of the best experiences occur when you step just outside your comfort zone.

Since joining the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest, I have discovered that the committee also have a strong focus on personal development and empowering young women. I already know that my time as an Entrant will give me new friendships, grow my confidence, develop my conversation and public speaking skills and teach me how to plan a fundraising event. I am also looking forward to getting to know our beneficiaries who are doing incredible work for our community. 
I can’t wait to see what my journey as an Entrant will bring!
