The month of March has disappeared quickly! On March 4th, Melissa had the pleasure of judging Fashions on the Field at the Wagga Harness Racing Club Carnival of Cups! It was fantastic to see people dressing up and embracing this new competition at the Carnival of Cups. We had our monthly radio interviews on the Star FM and 2WG stations on March 7th. As you might be aware, we have been allocated a spot on the first Monday of every month – so please tune in if you would like to hear all about our adventures. On March 20th, we both attended the Melanoma March at the Wagga Wagga Music Bowl. Although it was a chilly morning, we both enjoyed selling merchandise for such a worthwhile cause. We attended The Welcome to Wagga Wagga event on March 23rd at Wagga Wagga Beach. It was an enjoyable evening meeting some new residents in our wonderful city while watching the 5 o’clock wave! Neighbour Day is celebrated on the 27th March each year. Relationships Australia likes to support this day by taking photographs with people who embody making community change. We were humbled to be approached by Relationships Australia to have a photo for this year’s Neighbour Day. Melissa’s fundraising is now well underway with less than 3 weeks remaining until Wagga Wagga Takes 2 (WWT2)! She is raising money for Kurrajong Early Childhood Intervention Services (KEIS) to buy resources and equipment to help children who have a disability or a developmental delay. On March 5th Melissa held a Bunnings BBQ and on March 31st she had a Sheep Drive fundraiser coordinated by The Riverina Livestock Agents (RLA). There are now only a few fundraisers remaining:
We would like to continue to join the local community at as many events as possible throughout 2016. If you would like us to attend your special event, please do not hesitate to contact us by email ([email protected]). We welcome every opportunity to be involved in our beautiful community.
